Vehicle Donation

Ride Connection accepts gifts of vehicles which in turn are sold. The proceeds of the sale benefit accessible transportation for seniors and people with disabilities.

When you donate your car, truck boat or RV to Ride Connection:

• You will receive an acknowledgment from Ride Connection, stating the amount of the gross proceeds of the sale.
• You will be spared the ordeal of selling your vehicle.
• You will make a valuable contribution to increasing mobility and independence for people in our community.

Here’s how you can donate...

1. Sign the vehicle's Certificate of Title on the line marked "signature of seller(s)". Print "Ride Connection" on the line indicating the purchaser's name and address. If the title shows a lien, original documentation clearing the title from the lien holder must be provided.
2. Call Ride Connection to arrange an appointment for us to pick up your vehicle, title and keys. We'll then provide a temporary receipt.
3. Once we receive your clear title in our office, we will mail you an official receipt acknowledging the gross proceeds’ amount of the sale. You can use this receipt for your tax deduction.

Please note: Tax deductibility of gifts of vehicles to Ride Connection will be determined, as outlined by the IRS as the “fair market value of the car”, which includes many factors, including the vehicle’s condition.
