Our Board of Directors is responsible for oversight and supervision of the overall affairs of the company. The Board maintains the following committees to assist with its responsibilities:

Ethics and Values

Our Board and management are jointly responsible for managing and operating Ride Connection business with the highest standards of responsibility, ethics and integrity. In that regard, our Board expects the director, as well as each member of management, to lead by example in a culture that emphasizes trust, integrity, honesty, judgment, respect, managerial courage and responsibility.

Board Biographies

 
Robert Ueland, President

Robert Ueland joined Ride Connection as a board member in 1999. Robert is a real-estate broker with a long history of neighborhood activism and is currently President of the Hollywood Neighborhood Association, Treasurer of the Central Northeast Neighbors board and a member of the Hollywood Lions Club. He has received the Spirit of Portland award and Multnomah County's Gladys McCoy Award.

Alison Stoll, 1st Vice-President

Alison joined the Board in 2008. She is highly involved in her community; in addition to her service on the Ride Connection Board, she also serves as the Executive Director of Central NE Neighbors.

Leslie Clark, 2nd Vice-President

Leslie became a board member in 2003 and possesses a contagious enthusiasm for providing transportation needs for those who are without the ability or means to provide their own. Leslie is involved in a variety of outside activities and organizations, including serving as the Oregon Mayflower Society treasurer and participating several times a week in agility training with her dog Lily.

Rosy Vu, Treasurer

Rosy Vu has been a Ride Connection board member since 2003. She is passionate about transportation accessibility as she experiences it first hand with both of her parents who are undergoing transportation challenges. Rosy’s other activities in the community include serving as the Treasurer of Southeast Asian Relief Association and a member of Eastside Professional Association. Rosy has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry and currently is vice-president/business banking officer with Sterling Saving Bank.

Jenni Bernheisel, Secretary

Jenni became a Ride Connection Board member in 2008. She works for the City of Portland as a Crime Prevention Coordinator for the Office of Neighborhood Involvement. She is active in her neighborhood association and enjoys travel, camping and spending time with family.

Patty Brost

Patty has been on the Ride Connection board since 2001. She worked for 38 years in Legacy Health System's Mt. Hood Medical Center in Gresham, Oregon as a unit charge nurse in many departments including six years in Intensive Care taking care of critically ill patients. She also was responsible for developing senior resources and became the manager of a small transportation program under Ride Connection's supervision that provided transportation for seniors and people with disabilities in East Multnomah County. She has been the President of the Board of Directors at the Gresham Senior Center for four years, is the Chair of the Elders in Action Commission, and is a member of the East County Senior Coalition and the Ambleside Steering Committee.

Stephanie Hayes

Stephanie has been on the Ride Connection board since 2001. During her legal career, Stephanie has worked for the Oregon Advocacy Center advocating for the rights of persons with disabilities, the Portland City Attorney's office advising the city on disability law compliance, and for a private Social Security firm assisting customers in obtaining disability benefits.  Today, she works as Claims & Compliance Specialist for Farmington Centers, Inc., a private company that manages multiple senior care facilities in the Northwest. 

Fran Jensen

Fran joined our board in 2008. As a teacher, she taught in Phoenix, AZ, for Neskowin School District and Clackamas County ESD. She retired from the Beaverton School District after working in a variety of positions in Special Education.

Richard "Dick" Jones,  Secretary

Dick has been on the Ride Connection Board since 2001. He is well versed in government including serving as a current member of the Clackamas County Area Agency on the Aging Advisory Council, Ride Connection's Program and Provider Services Committee, as well as the past chair of the Oak Lodge Community Council. He serves on a number of committees and Boards including the C-4 (Clackamas County’s Coordinating Committee), North Clackamas County Chamber of Commerce, Clackamas County Volunteer Connection Advisory Council, MPAC Metro's Policy Advisory Committee, Regional Transportation Coordinating Council and many more.

Claudia Robertson

Claudia has recently joined the Ride Connection Board of Directors in 2008.

Carolyn Rundorff

Carolyn has been a member of the Board of Directors for Ride Connection since 2004. She is a long time volunteer with the League of Women Voters, the Multnomah County Library and Elderhostel. She has been a “Visiting Voice” for Multnomah County Libraries, reading to older adults in nursing homes for over 10 years. In addition, Carolyn served as a tour guide at Pittock Mansion for the past 15 years.

Andy Szolnoki

Andy is a 2006 addition to the Ride Connection Board of Directors. He is a retired Transportation Supervisor for Providence ElderPlace and an IBM Engineer.

Ron Thompson

Ron has served on the Board of Directors for Ride Connection since 2004. He is the owner of Thompson Planning Service and serves as a City Councilor for the City of Forest Grove, City Liaison for Committee for Citizen Involvement, as well as a Consultant for Sensitive Area Certification-Wetlands. He has received many community involvement awards, including a Letter of Commendation from the White House for the Pacific Northwest Forest Plan in 1993.

Honorary Members

Joshua Collins

Joshua joined the Board of Directors in 2008. He is the Communications Manager at Trimet.

Lee Girard

Lee, Services Manager for Multnomah County Aging and Disability Services, has served on the Board since 2008.

Jeffrey Hill

Jeffrey joined the Ride Connection Board in 2008. He is the Director of Washington County Aging and Veteran Services.

Claire Potter

Claire has been on the Board since 2006. She is the TriMet Director of Financial Analysis.
