What is RideAbout?
The N/NE RideAbout is a free shuttle service for older adults (age
60+) and customers living with a disability who need a little
extra help getting around.
Operated daily with three 14 passenger mini-buses, the shuttle
makes regular visits to grocery stores and local neighborhood centers.
A concierge accompanies the riders to assist with shopping bags.
We want the riders to feel welcome, comfortable, secure and have
a positive transportation experience.
When is RideAbout available?
Service is available Monday through Friday. Calendars with scheduled
trips by neighborhood are published monthly and include trips
for a variety of purposes including shopping and recreational.
Can anyone use RideAbout service?
Older adults and persons with disabilities living in the following
neighborhoods are able use RideAbout service: Arbor Lodge, Boise,
Elliot, Humboldt, Irvington, Kenton, King, Overlook, Piedmont,
Portsmouth, Sabin and Woodlawn.
What are the benefits of using RideAbout?

Who provides the RideAbout service?
RideAbout service is provided by the African American Chamber of
Commerce, American Red Cross, Metropolitan Family Services, Ride
Connection, TriMet and the Urban League of Portland.
How much does it cost?
There is no cost to ride the N/NE RideAbout, but donations are
appreciated.
